Washtub Industrial Laundry Service is a black, female, privately owned business and is rated BBBEE Level 1 with full SANS 10146 and HACCP compliance and ISO 9001 certification.
LEADERSHIP
Our leadership philosophy is simple: everyone is a leader, a supporter and a follower. All staff are trained in all divisions of the business, which means that they are skilled to multi-task and this, in turn, ensures that Washtub never finds themselves in the position of missing a delivery deadline or compromising our customer service delivery.
PEOPLE EMPOWERMENT
We believe that education and knowledge is truly powerful and our team attend relevant and current industry courses on textiles, chemistry, chemicals and technology and receive intensive, ongoing in-house training with a focus on capacity building and personal growth. All staff are OHS trained. Our team is highly trained, skilled and motivated and it is this passion to develop and bring out the best in others that contributes to the success of our business.
COMMUNITY UPLIFTMENT
Washtub is deeply committed to community upliftment and provides laundry services to the local Hospice and supports local schools by way of donations and support to their soccer and rugby clubs. In keeping with our belief that knowledge is all powerful, we founded an NPO, Comfort for Education , for the empowerment of underprivileged girls .
We initiate sanitary towel drives and host personal development workshops at schools in surrounding areas .
Our purpose is to stimulate growth and development, enabling our people to go from good to great.
